The Department of Mass Communication, Kano State Polytechnic in collaboration with International Institute of Islamic Thought Nigeria (IIITN) has organized a one day seminar on integration of knowledge, themed: “Perspectives of Communication in the Quran” on Tuesday 30th march, 2021.
In his welcome address, the Director, School of General Studies, Mallam Sallisu Aminu welcomed the Rector of the Polytechnic, Dr. Kabir Bello Dungurawa, the Presenters, the Discussants, the Participants as well as the invited guests to the occasion. Mal. Salisu expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the department of Mass communication, especially the HOD, Haj. Binta Muhammad Lawan for her tireless efforts to make the seminar a colourful. He also urged the participants to listen attentively to the presenters so as to achieve the desired aims of the seminar.
Meanwhile, the Rector, Dr. Kabir Bello Dungurawa, in his remarks, recognized and appreciated the presenters and discussants who, despite their tight schedules, graced the occasion and shared knowledge and experiences. The Rector also thanked and acknowledged the seminar organizers who work hard to make the seminar a truly successful one. Dr. Dungurawa appreciated the untiring efforts of Binta Muhammad Lawal, the Head of Mass Communication department and Mallam Salisu Aminu, the Director School of General Studies, stating that without their commitments the seminar could have not been possible. He further hoped that the seminar session will go a long way in enriching the participants mental horizon, he therefore requested the participants to make best use of the seminar.
On behalf of the management, staff and students of Kano State Polytechnic, the Rector thanked the department of Mass Communication and International Institute of Islamic Thought Nigeria (IIITN), Kano office for organizing the seminar.
